dawn and jerome leopold are the owners here and they run a tight ship. hailing from lorraine in france, jerome takes local ingredients and puts a french twist on classic pub grub dishes. kingsand is a truly picturesque corner of torpoint and the al fresco dining areas of the devonport make the most of the tranquillity, with plenty of tables offering gorgeous of the bay. lunch meals start at £6, whilst mains for dinner are around the £15 mark. get the true locals experience by booking into the westcroft guesthouse for the weekend. this artfully decorated b&b is just down the road from the devonport inn and makes for a fantastic home from home. room start at a very reasonable £90 p/night. pirates galley cafe the chicken kebab at the pirate galley cafe is a hidden gem of torpoint. keep it distinctly nautical (and affordable) by diving into the pirates galley cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner. this cosy nautically theme cafe is quintessentially torpoint: humbly decorated with nice sea-faring touches and mismatching furniture. it’s an unfussy place that makes, amongst many other things, one of the most raved about kebabs in cornwall. should you wish to be lazy, you can even call in a food delivery and get this lovely grub delivered right to where you are. get the much raved about chicken kebab for just £5.50. there aren’t many airbnb options in torpoint but the aptly named captains quarter is one of them. for just £80 p/night you can stay aboard this converted boat. there’s plenty of room to relax in the cabin, which also has a couple of cosy leather seats to recline in after a day of exploring. posted in places to stay , top local restaurants search for: proudly powered by wordpress | theme: ice by underscores.me .
